Welcome! I am so happy you found us here in our little space online. I am Shelly, with Dinner for a
Dollar – where I share with you how I feed my family a simple, allergy friendly whole food diet rich in
produce for $1 per person per meal. My passion is to bust the myth that you have to spend a fortune to
eat good food!

You may be curious what, specifically, I am able to feed my family for $1 per person per meal. You may
even be skeptical that I am truly able to feed my family whole foods on that budget. That’s okay!!! I
don’t blame you! There’s a time where I would have been skeptical too.
So, I figured I would kick this off by sharing with you a real, 2-week meal plan that I have used for my
family. This is an actual meal plan – from our rotation of meals. I didn’t make any changes to it before
sharing it with you.

Before you view the menu, keep in mind a couple of important things:

1. You don’t have to like the food on my menu to like Dinner for a Dollar!

 

 

 

 

DFAD is not a meal planning service. I am here to show you how to save money on the food you
choose to buy for your family. The examples I share with you are just that – examples – of what menu
could be possible if you have disciplined shopping and cooking habits. This menu should inspire you to
know that, if you follow the principles in the DFAD system, you can reduce your food bill while still
eating good, whole food.

2. The menu you see cannot be purchased for $1 per person per meal with regular grocery store
prices and regular shopping habits.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The principles that I share in my Dinner for a Dollar system allow me to purchase food at prices
that help me hit that target budget. The emails I share and the blogs I post will give you good tips
you can implement to help save you money. But the most comprehensive savings will come when
you take the principles found in the book, through 1 on 1 coaching, or in seminar and apply
those to your 
planning, shopping, and prepping habits.
